Tracked from 2 NE of Montrose to 2 N of Savoy based on survey.  Major structural damage occurred to a church including major roof damage.  Shingles and siding were blown off of a house and an outbuilding was destroyed along with damage to a grain silo.  Numerous large and very large softwood and hardwood trees were snapped and uprooted.

Formed just south of Hamilton Road along Highway 45.  Ended near Bartahatchie Road one mile east of the intersection of Bartahatchie and Grubb Springs Road.  Numerous trees were uprooted along the track.  One house near the beginning of the track suffered structural damage losing a garage and utility room.  Several homes incurred roof damage.  A few vehicles also received damage from falling trees or other debris.  A small steel outbuilding was also destroyed with debris wrapped in amongst surrounding trees.  A support on a built in carport was destroyed allowing a portion of the home roof to collapse.  Several power lines were also reported down along Hamilton and Grubb Springs Road.

The tornado formed approximately 0.3 miles north of Dougherty Ferry Road near Lynkirk Road and moved northwest through part of a subdivision.  Weakening briefly, it reformed again near the intersection of Ballas Road and Kirk Place Drive before dissipating east of a shopping mall.  Widespread tree damage occurred in the subdivision but overall lack of structural damage suggests winds did not exceed 70 to 80 mph.

The tornado formed on Bible Hill Road 2 miles north northwest of Parsons and traveled east northeast across the Tennessee River.  Significant tree damage occurred… especially on Broadys Landing Road.  Although light damage was noted to most structures hit directly from the tornado… significant property damage resulted from falling trees.  One bar was completely destroyed however.

The tornado formed just south of the city of Gu-Win and moved northeast.  Three homes took the brunt of the damage along County Road 47 southwest of the city of Brilliant.  One home had minor damage due to trees falling on top of it and one of the trees that was uprooted flipped over a minivan.  The second home had minor roof damage but 2 outbuildings were destroyed.  The third home incurred major structural damage to the garage when the windward side of the garage was blown in.  There was also an outbuilding flipped over at this location.  40 to 60 hardwood trees uprooted along the path.

The tornado formed near the intersection of Duke Drive and Blackberry Avenue in University City.  It traveled northwest with the last damage noted near St. Ann Lane.  The vast majority of the damage along the path consisted of varying degrees of tree damage which included numerous tree branches broken, trees uprooted, and tree trunks snapped well above their base.  Most structural damage was the result of falling trees and limbs.

The tornado formed near Simms Road along the eastern side of the Tennessee River.  Damage continued northeastward.  Hundreds of soft and hard wood trees were snapped or uprooted.  There was some roof damage noted.

Formed in the northwest part of the county and weakened 1.1 miles east of Sunfish.  A well-built home suffered significant damage and a shed was destroyed.  Several outbuildings were damaged and numerous trees were uprooted or snapped.

Formed southwest of Aetna along State Highway 48.  Damage continued to the northeast along SH 48 for 2 miles.  Hundreds of trees were uprooted and snapped with a couple of small sheds and trailer destroyed.  Some minor roof damage was noted on a dozen homes.

Near Patterson Lane and McAffee Lane a well-built barn had two walls blown out and its roof blown one-half mile downstream.  Two other barns were also damaged or destroyed, and many trees were uprooted or damaged.

Formed about two miles southwest of the intersection of Highway 43 and County Road 26.  The tornado moved northeast and dissipated one mile southeast of the town of Berry.  Several hundred trees snapped or uprooted.  Four homes received minor damage.

The tornado formed in southeast Walker County four miles northeast of Berry.  It moved northeast and dissipated about five mile west of Oakman.  Several hundred trees were snapped or uprooted.  A 100 foot radio tower was blown down.

Tornado formed four miles northeast of Brooksville and traveled northeast into Marshall County, ending near County Road 12.  Three structures were damaged.  One mobile home was moved off its foundation.  One barn was destroyed and one single family home lost part of its roof.  Several hundred trees were uprooted or snapped.

This long track tornado caused extensive damage in Parrish, and continued across northern Jefferson and southwest Blount Counties.  A total of 70 to 80 homes and businesses were damaged, with one home destroyed.  800 to 1000 hardwood and softwood trees were either uprooted or snapped along the path.

Tornado formed about 3 to 4 miles southeast of Mentone between County Roads 106 and 117.  The most significant damage occurred to a trailer park where several single wide manufactured homes were completely destroyed.  Tornado path in Georgia was 7.8 miles.
