Mainly a travel day back from Nebraska.  Since it had been almost a month since the large tornadoes in Oklahoma, we took the time to drive through some of the areas that were affected around Guthrie and Piedmont.

Looking east northeast toward developing storms along the Kansas/Oklahoma border.  Scattered severe storms formed in eastern Colorado and western Kansas later in the evening.  We were using this as a travel day to get to Wakeeney, Kansas before a better couple of days were expected in Nebraska.

We took a few shots of storms near sunset and later lightning near Dodge City and Jetmore.

A strongly rotating wall cloud organizes north of Benkelman, Nebraska.  Details on the events of the 19th and 20th can be found here.
A powerful tornado moves by Stromsburg, Nebraska.  Details on the events of the 19th and 20th can be found here.
