March 28, 2007 - A significant severe thunderstorm/tornado outbreak produced many tornadoes from Texas to Nebraska.  The image above shows the first of two near/after dark tornadoes that took place in Meade and Gray counties in Kansas.  For details on the event, go to the Storm Chase 2007 page.

TORNADOES: Texas Panhandle

Supercell/Tornado - Reno County Kansas

TORNADOES: Protection, Kansas

April 24, 2007 - An amazing run of tornado producing supercells in the central and southern plains ended on the 24th.  This supercell produced a weak tornado near the town of Nickerson, Kansas. | Stormchase Page 

April 23, 2007 - Far northwest Oklahoma and southwest Kansas was just one of the places to be on the 23rd.  This storm produced a few tornadoes from the Buffalo, OK area northeastward to near Protection, KS. | Stormchase Page 

LARGE TORNADO NEAR MACKSVILLE, KANSAS

May 5, 2007 - One day after an EF5 tornado destroyed the town of Greensburg, KS - this tornado tracked just to the northeast.  This was one of scores of tornadoes that occurred in the plains during the biggest single day outbreak of the year so far.  | Video | Video | Stormchase Page 

Storm Chase 2008

May 6 - This beautiful LP supercell moved slowly through Lamb County, Texas near and to the west of Olton.  There were signs of rotation at cloudbase... but there never appeared to be a significant tornado threat.  While tornadoes have been hard to come by this year... nice storm structure has been plentiful.
